Question 1: Tell me what you see in these two pictures: a busy outdoor food market and a large supermarket. How are they different?
Question 2: Which place would you prefer to shop in, and why?
Question 3: How might food shopping change in the future?

Question 1: Both pictures show people buying food, but the atmosphere is very different. The market is outdoors and looks crowded and noisy, with small stalls full of fruit and vegetables. The supermarket, on the other hand, is bright and quite empty. At the market people are chatting with the sellers, whereas in the supermarket everyone seems to be shopping alone and in a hurry.
Question 2: I'd rather shop at the market. The supermarket is faster, of course, and you can find everything in one place. However, at the market you can ask where the products come from, and the fruit is usually fresher. If I were in a hurry, though, I'd probably choose the supermarket.
Question 3: I think more people will order food online, especially in big cities, because it saves time. Supermarkets might become smaller, more like collection points. However, I doubt markets will disappear. People will probably still want to see and touch fresh products, so markets could become more of a weekend experience.
If I were in a hurry, I'd…
- La tercera especula con will, might, I doubt y could.
Para una nota alta en esta parte, las estructuras de especular tienen que ser correctas: might, will probably, I doubt…, If I were…, I would…
